Requirements and Responsibilities

Configuration Analysis Manager manages the coordination and administration of configuration management activities. Formulates procedures for and executes the introduction of changes to engineering documents. Being a Configuration Analysis Manager monitors the review of released engineering change data and change documentation activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, Configuration Analysis Manager acts as advisor to the configuration analysis team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. The Configuration Analysis Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Configuration Analysis Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
