Construction Loan Officer develops relationships with builders and developers in order to source, solicit and sell construction loans. Interviews applicants, analyzes applicant's credit and financial status and obtains property appraisals to determine feasibility of granting loan. Being a Construction Loan Officer recommends loan terms and conditions and ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy. Approves loan within established limits or refers to loan to loan committee for approval. Additionally, Construction Loan Officer may be responsible for disbursing loan proceeds based on the completion of designated project milestones. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Construction Loan Officer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.
