Requirements and Responsibilities

Corrosion Engineer III ensures pipeline and equipment integrity and maintains protection from corrosion using cathodic protection programs, pigging operations, and inspection processes. Performs inspections, field audits, criticality assessments, and failure analyses. Being a Corrosion Engineer III prepares specifications, designs, and work plans for cathodic protection program implementations. Monitors maintenance projects for compliance and quality. Additionally, Corrosion Engineer III requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent. Requires a valid Driver's license. Typically reports to a manager. The Corrosion Engineer III work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Corrosion Engineer III typically requires 7+ years of related experience.
