Requirements and Responsibilities

Credit Risk Senior Manager manages the credit risk exposure of a financial institution to mitigate and reduce risk. Leads the credit risk evaluation process to ensure thorough analysis and consistent application of risk standards. Being a Credit Risk Senior Manager implements policies and procedures to ensure credit exposures remain within risk limits and regulatory requirements. Develops risk models and frameworks to evaluate credit proposals and provide risk-based recommendations that align with business objectives. Additionally, Credit Risk Senior Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Credit Risk Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Credit Risk Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.
