Requirements and Responsibilities

Digital Content Writing Director directs the research and development of content strategy and provides the creative direction for content developed for online platforms and publications. Collaborates with stakeholders and cross functional teams to understand objectives and to conceptualize stories and content that achieve objectives. Being a Digital Content Writing Director guides creative production workflows and oversee a schedule of deliverables to ensure all deadlines are met. Develops branding and style guidelines and provide the technical tools required to produce compelling content. Additionally, Digital Content Writing Director incorporates search engine optimization best practices and monitor results for continuous improvements in search results. Requires a bachelor's degree in english, communication, journalism or equivalent. Typically reports to senior management. The Digital Content Writing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Digital Content Writing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
