Requirements and Responsibilities
Echocardiograph Technician is responsible for performing echocardiograms. Uses ultrasound equipment to create images of the heart to assist cardiologists in diagnosing conditions. Being an Echocardiograph Technician records patient data, analyzes test results, and prepares reports for physicians. May require an associate degree. Additionally, Echocardiograph Technician rDMS, RCS, or RDCS certification is required. Typically reports to a manager. Echocardiograph Technician's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
