EHR User Support Specialist provides technical support to EHR(electronic health record) system users via phone, remote access, and/or in-person visits. Identifies, researches and resolves technical problems and refers unresolved issues to engineering/development staff as needed. Being an EHR User Support Specialist identifies gaps in user knowledge and provides system training as appropriate. Requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Additionally, EHR User Support Specialist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The EHR User Support Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an EHR User Support Specialist typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
