Requirements and Responsibilities

Electrician III inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes. Being an Electrician III uses a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. Generally required to complete an apprenticeship. Additionally, Electrician III typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. Typically requires an Electrician's license granted by state. The Electrician III has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. Independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. To be an Electrician III typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
