Requirements and Responsibilities

Electrician IV inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. Being an Electrician IV uses a variety of tools and equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment. May require a high school diploma. Additionally, Electrician IV requires Electrician License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Electrician IV independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Has gained full proficiency in a broad range of activities related to the job. To be an Electrician IV typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
