Epidemiology Research Director directs and leads the team responsible for designing, developing, and conducting epidemiology research projects and investigations. Reviews and analyzes investigation results. Being an Epidemiology Research Director provides guidance and makes recommendations as needed. Stays current on new findings and best practices within epidemiology. Additionally, Epidemiology Research Director requires a master's degree in public health or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Epidemiology Research Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
