Requirements and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting Senior Manager manages the preparation and distribution of periodic financial statements for external use. Ensures that reports, filings and documentation comply with company's regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Senior Manager may work with external auditors to provide requested information. May assist with the preparation of materials for board or shareholders. Additionally, Financial Reporting Senior Manager requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Typically reports to a director. The Financial Reporting Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Financial Reporting Senior Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.
