Requirements and Responsibilities

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manager manages GMP compliance programs to ensure consistent adherence to regulatory standards across manufacturing operations. Develops, implements, and maintains GMP policies, procedures, and quality systems to drive program success. Being a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manager oversees deviation management, CAPA programs, change control processes, and risk assessments. Evaluates compliance trends and metrics to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manager leads regulatory inspections and audits, including preparation, execution, and response management. Manages and develops GMP staff to ensure appropriate coverage, competency, and performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require GMP certification (GMPCP). Typically reports to a director. The Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
