Requirements and Responsibilities

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Senior Manager manages GMP compliance programs to ensure consistent adherence to regulatory standards across manufacturing operations. Develops, implements, and maintains GMP policies, procedures, and quality systems to drive program success. Being a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Senior Manager oversees deviation management, CAPA programs, change control processes, and risk assessments. Evaluates compliance trends and metrics to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Senior Manager leads regulatory inspections and audits, including preparation, execution, and response management. Manages and develops GMP staff to ensure appropriate coverage, competency, and performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require GMP certification (GMPCP). Typically reports to a director. The Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Senior Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
