Requirements and Responsibilities

Head of Data Architecture leads an organization's data architecture strategy, operations, and initiatives. Oversees the creation of large-scale projects to improve the usability, scalability, efficiency, and security of an organization's data resources including data migrations, data governance initiatives, and data management and architecture projects. Being a Head of Data Architecture helps align the creation of new data system initiatives with broader organizational data solutions and analytics needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Head of Data Architecture typically reports to top management. The Head of Data Architecture manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments.
