Requirements and Responsibilities

Health Educator is responsible for developing and designing health education programs to increase awareness and knowledge. Collects and analyzes data to understand the specific health concerns of a population. Being a Health Educator develops, coordinates, and disseminates educational resources and materials. Monitors and assesses educational programs for effectiveness. Additionally, Health Educator may provide health education outreach and consultation. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Health Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Health Educator typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
