Requirements and Responsibilities

Industrial Hygiene Manager manages the team responsible for executing employee programs focused on workplace cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards. Directs daily facility inspections and monitors corrective actions to eliminate health risks. Being an Industrial Hygiene Manager coaches the team on best practices for reducing occupational hazards and maintaining a high standard of workplace hygiene. Oversees accident investigations to implement preventative measures and ensure long-term risk reduction. Additionally, Industrial Hygiene Manager evaluates operational workflows to ensure environmental compliance. Facilitates comprehensive training regarding environmental regulations and the secure management of hazardous substances. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Industrial Hygiene Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Industrial Hygiene Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
