Requirements and Responsibilities

Industrial Hygiene Supervisor supervises the planning and delivery of employee programs focused on workplace cleanliness, safety, and sanitation protocols. Leads facility inspections and assigns corrective actions to mitigate health risks while maintaining high safety standards. Being an Industrial Hygiene Supervisor provides guidance on procedures to minimize occupational hazards and improve workplace hygiene. Oversees accident investigations to implement preventative measures and ensure long-term risk reduction. Additionally, Industrial Hygiene Supervisor audits facilities for environmental compliance and manages the team's daily sanitation and maintenance tasks. Coordinates and conducts training in environmental regulations and the safe handling of hazardous materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Industrial Hygiene Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be an Industrial Hygiene Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
