Requirements and Responsibilities

International Tax Manager manages the team responsible for monitoring, interpreting, and advising on international tax laws and regulations. Implements processes and procedures to ensure compliance with complex international regulations. Being an International Tax Manager provides guidance on tax implications of operating a business in foreign countries such as transfer pricing, foreign tax credits, and tax treaty analysis. Stays current on existing, new, and proposed international tax regulations. Additionally, International Tax Manager prepares and reviews international tax compliance documents. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The International Tax Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an International Tax Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
