Requirements and Responsibilities

Inventory Control Clerk III monitors and maintains inventory levels. Process and tracks purchase orders and changes. Being an Inventory Control Clerk III performs cycle counts and records results. Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. Additionally, Inventory Control Clerk III inputs data and generates audit reports. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Inventory Control Clerk III works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. To be an Inventory Control Clerk III typically requires 3-5 years of related experience, or may need 2 years experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
