Laboratory Support Technician I provides technical support for laboratory operations. Assembles, configures, and maintains equipment for use in tests and experiments. Being a Laboratory Support Technician I operates equipment, mixes chemical solutions, and performs analytical tests as assigned. Records test results and maintains records as instructed. Additionally, Laboratory Support Technician I complies with all safety guidelines. May require an associate degree in a related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Support Technician I works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
