Lifeguard ensures the safety of individuals in the swimming area. Continuously monitors the designated area to identify potential risks or hazardous behavior. Being a Lifeguard enforces established safety rules and sanitary protocols. Documents and reports safety incidents. Additionally, Lifeguard inspects safety equipment to ensure functionality and may be responsible for basic pool maintenance. Has knowledge of basic first aid. May require a high school diploma. Requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification. Requires Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Lifeguard works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
