Requirements and Responsibilities

Loan Processing Manager manages loan processing operations to ensure efficient handling of loan applications and compliance with lending policies and regulatory standards. Develops and implements procedures that govern document verification, file preparation, and workflow management across the loan processing function. Being a Loan Processing Manager monitors and supports loan processing supervisors and staff by establishing performance goals, monitoring productivity, and maintaining service quality. Collaborates with underwriting, credit, and compliance teams to streamline processes and address regulatory or documentation requirements. Additionally, Loan Processing Manager analyzes processing performance metrics and implements improvements to enhance turnaround times, accuracy, and borrower satisfaction. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Loan Processing Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Loan Processing Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
