Requirements and Responsibilities

Loan Processing Supervisor supervises daily loan processing operations to ensure timely and accurate preparation of loan applications for underwriting and approval. Oversees a team of loan processors by assigning workloads, monitoring performance, and reviewing loan files for completeness and compliance with lending policies. Being a Loan Processing Supervisor resolves complex processing issues involving documentation discrepancies, borrower qualifications, and regulatory requirements. Ensures adherence to internal procedures and external lending regulations while maintaining quality control standards. Additionally, Loan Processing Supervisor trains staff on loan processing systems, documentation requirements, and operational procedures to improve efficiency and service quality. Prepares reporting for internal departments and external agencies. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Loan Processing Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Loan Processing Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
