Managed Care Pharmacy Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing medication utilization, formulary management, and ensuring cost-effective services for a network of managed care pharmacies. Monitors and analyzes pharmacy utilization trends and identifies opportunities for cost savings and improved patient outcomes. Being a Managed Care Pharmacy Senior Manager collaborates with healthcare stakeholders to implement and improve pharmacy benefit programs. May also be responsible for designing reimbursement processes and procedures. Additionally, Managed Care Pharmacy Senior Manager may require a doctorate degree in pharmacy. May require applicable license and/or certification. Typically reports to a director.
