Requirements and Responsibilities

Network Planning Director directs an organization's network planning department. Develops and implements an organization's network strategy. Being a Network Planning Director directs initiatives to improve an organization's network effectiveness, efficiency, and security. Communicates and collaborates with senior management and other departments to create network solutions that align with organizational objectives. Additionally, Network Planning Director establishes protocols for network maintenance and assessment. Researches trends, developments, and new technology in network planning, and evaluates their ability to improve the organization's network performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Network Planning Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Network Planning Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
