Nursing Supervisor - Occupational Health supervises nursing service activities for occupational health services. Supports training programs to promote employee safety in the workplace. Being a Nursing Supervisor - Occupational Health conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify any health or safety hazards. Maintains records, investigates accidents and injuries, prepares appropriate reports for OSHA, and ensures compliance with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Additionally, Nursing Supervisor - Occupational Health coordinates the procurement, review, and project management of contracts and service agreements with outside vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager. The Nursing Supervisor - Occupational Health supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Supervisor - Occupational Health typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
