Requirements and Responsibilities

Physical Therapy Director directs and coordinates the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of physical therapy programs to patients. Oversees the performance of the physical therapy staff. Being a Physical Therapy Director ensures the physical therapy division follows regulatory compliance requirements and standard procedures. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Physical Therapy Director typically reports to top management. The Physical Therapy Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
