Requirements and Responsibilities

Physician - Immunology/Allergy specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing allergies, asthma, and other immune system disorders. Tests for and identifies allergy triggers and prescribes appropriate medicine and/or treatment. Being a Physician - Immunology/Allergy educates patients on prevention strategies and lifestyle adjustments to manage systems. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Additionally, Physician - Immunology/Allergy requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a medical director. Physician - Immunology/Allergy's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
