Requirements and Responsibilities

Pipeline Control Monitoring Manager manages the operation and monitoring of pipeline systems. Ensures technicians evaluate and respond to flow rate and system pressure metrics to maintain quality, reduce contamination, and reduce risk of emergency. Being a Pipeline Control Monitoring Manager establishes and implements procedural responses to alarms and emergencies. Defines protocols for directing appropriate scheduling, operations, and maintenance specialists. Additionally, Pipeline Control Monitoring Manager oversees efforts to troubleshoot and resolve alarms and issues. Implements process improvements. Helps schedulers work seamlessly with technicians to guarantee the proper delivery of products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Pipeline Control Monitoring Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Pipeline Control Monitoring Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
