Requirements and Responsibilities

Plant Inspector I inspects materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments. Ensures materials and products are in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged. Being a Plant Inspector I requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. To be a Plant Inspector I typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill. Gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
