Requirements and Responsibilities

Provider Database Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the provider data within a health care network's database. Coordinates provider enrollment and maintains directories for contracted organizations. Being a Provider Database Coordinator reviews and validates provider data for accuracy and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Acts as the primary point of contact for provider inquiries, tracks and resolves issues, and provides support and resources to keep providers up to date. Additionally, Provider Database Coordinator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Provider Database Coordinator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Provider Database Coordinator typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
