Requirements and Responsibilities

Reimbursement Services Coordinator performs clerical and administrative tasks to support the reimbursement services function. Enters reimbursement, payment, and account data into systems and verifies accuracy and completeness. Being a Reimbursement Services Coordinator maintains and organizes files, correspondence, and supporting documentation. Responds to routine inquiries from payers, providers, and internal staff regarding reimbursement status. Additionally, Reimbursement Services Coordinator prepares standard forms, reports, and correspondence in support of reimbursement activities. Follows established procedures and escalates non-routine matters to senior staff. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Reimbursement Services Coordinator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Reimbursement Services Coordinator typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
