Requirements and Responsibilities

Retail Loss Prevention Representative I monitors premises to reduce losses due to theft and fraud. Enforces security measures and procedures. Being a Retail Loss Prevention Representative I observes areas that are vulnerable to theft and identifies occurrences. Ensures employees understand and follow policies and procedures for loss prevention and cash handling. Additionally, Retail Loss Prevention Representative I collects, records, and maintains loss and incident data in appropriate format and system. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Retail Loss Prevention Representative I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
