Requirements and Responsibilities

Retail Loss Prevention Representative monitors premises to reduce losses due to theft and fraud. Enforces security measures and procedures, observes areas that are vulnerable to theft and identifies occurrences. Being a Retail Loss Prevention Representative ensures employees understand and follow policies and procedures for loss prevention and cash handling. Collects, records, and maintains loss and incident data in appropriate format and system. Additionally, Retail Loss Prevention Representative may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Retail Loss Prevention Representative possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
