RFP Manager manages the team responsible for responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) from potential clients. Responsible for leading, coordinating, and overseeing the entire process of responding to RFPs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compliant, and competitive proposals that help secure new business. Being an RFP Manager oversees all aspects of proposal development from opportunity identification to submission, ensuring timelines, content quality, and compliance with client requirements are met. Establishes project priorities and develops a repository of templates, standard language, product collateral, exhibits, and other data resources to create high-quality and accurate responses. Additionally, RFP Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The RFP Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an RFP Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
