Scrum Product Ownership Director directs and communicates the product vision to Agile development teams utilizing the Scrum framework. Collaborates with stakeholders to define product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria and to produce a clearly defined backlog. Being a Scrum Product Ownership Director evaluates customer needs and product requirements to plan and deliver solutions that align with business goals and objectives. Acts as a bridge between stakeholders and development teams to provide leadership and technical oversight to navigate roadblocks, resolve conflicts, and decide actions. Additionally, Scrum Product Ownership Director oversees development to ensure requirements are implemented effectively within the required timelines. Develops project budgets and provides oversight to ensure alignment with organizational budgetary controls. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO). Typically reports to senior management. The Scrum Product Ownership Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Scrum Product Ownership Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
