Requirements and Responsibilities

SVP of Provider Network plans and leads all aspects of an organization's healthcare provider network to ensure effective operations and coverage of services. Oversees, evaluates, and improves processes to evaluate healthcare providers and identify areas for network expansion. Being an SVP of Provider Network develops and defines strategies to grow and develop a diverse and comprehensive provider network and communicates objectives to stakeholders. Responsible for negotiating and administering contracts, maintaining provider relations, and monitoring feedback and procedures for regulatory compliance. Additionally, SVP of Provider Network may require a master's degree. Typically reports to top management. The SVP of Provider Network manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes/implements overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. To be an SVP of Provider Network typically requires 10+ years of progressive leadership experience. Has extensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
