Requirements and Responsibilities
Telecommunications Supervisor III supervises the maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems to ensure continuous and reliable communication services. Supervises technicians performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of telecommunications equipment. Being a Telecommunications Supervisor III schedules and prioritizes maintenance activities to minimize service disruptions. Diagnoses complex system faults and directs corrective actions. Additionally, Telecommunications Supervisor III monitors system performance and coordinates preventive maintenance programs. Trains staff on repair procedures, tools, and safety practices. Maintains records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and service history. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Telecommunications Supervisor III supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions.
