Requirements and Responsibilities

Telecommunications Supervisor III oversees a team of telecommunications technicians and analysts who install, troubleshoots, repair, and maintain telecommunications equipment for the organization. Identifies issues and appropriate courses of action. Being a Telecommunications Supervisor III researches and leads implementation of new technologies. A level III supervisor has full authority and may be considered lower middle management. Additionally, Telecommunications Supervisor III may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Telecommunications Supervisor III supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Telecommunications Supervisor III typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
