Requirements and Responsibilities

Threat Assessment Analyst II assesses risks and threats such as crime or terrorism to protect an organization's employees, property, affairs, brand, and events. Identifies and researches new potential threats using public and private information, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and other effective research techniques. Being a Threat Assessment Analyst II establishes clear, effective, and proactive plans for avoiding or mitigating newly emerged or evolving threats. Assists decision-making in crises. Additionally, Threat Assessment Analyst II investigates incidents that expose potential issues in current organizational security plans and procedures. Alerts management or business partners about relevant threats. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Threat Assessment Analyst II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Threat Assessment Analyst II typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience.
