Requirements and Responsibilities

Trading Settlement Accounting Manager manages the team responsible for the post trade accounting activities. Monitors and ensures the accurate and timely settlement of securities, commodities, or derivative trades. Being a Trading Settlement Accounting Manager oversees the reconciliation of trade transaction data, verifies trade confirmations, manages cash flows, and resolves discrepancies with brokers or custodians. Monitors trade lifecycles and creates internal profit and loss reports. Additionally, Trading Settlement Accounting Manager ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Trading Settlement Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Trading Settlement Accounting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
