Requirements and Responsibilities

Trust Compliance Officer provides risk management and compliance oversight to ensure trust services adhere to regulatory, fiduciary, and internal policies and standards. Reviews trust processes and auditing results to identify risks and recommend improvements. Being a Trust Compliance Officer is responsible for trust compliance documentation and reporting. Collaborates with trust administrators, investment, and legal teams to ensure compliance controls and best practices are integrated into daily operations. Additionally, Trust Compliance Officer requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Trust Compliance Officer supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Trust Compliance Officer typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.
