Underwriter II - P&C is responsible for reviewing and analyzing property and casualty (P&C) insurance applications. Evaluates and analyzes inspection reports, location, risk, credit reports, and additional information to accept, decline, or renew an application. Being an Underwriter II - P&C utilizes and follows underwriting guidelines, rules, and standards. Determines appropriate premium rates and issues coverage. Additionally, Underwriter II - P&C provides customer services regarding underwriting processes and decisions. Ensures compliance with all industry and governmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a manager. The Underwriter II - P&C occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be an Underwriter II - P&C typically requires 2-4 years of related experience.
