Requirements and Responsibilities

VP of Biopharma Process Development plans and leads all biopharma process development activities within an organization. Implements and executes strategic plans and goals. Being a VP of Biopharma Process Development provides leadership and oversight to the design and development of processes. Designs policies and procedures to ensure all biopharma process development activities meet required specifications and quality standards. Additionally, VP of Biopharma Process Development collaborates with leaders to identify problems, needs, or potential products. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. May require a PhD in biology, chemistry, or a related field. Typically reports to top management. The VP of Biopharma Process Development manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. To be a VP of Biopharma Process Development typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience.
