Job Description
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing insights to management.
Month-end and Year-end Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial tasks.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and support as required.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting department, implementing best practices where applicable.
Tax Compliance: Work closely with the tax department to ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Adherence to Policies and Regulations: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations, staying updated on changes that may impact the organization.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
