SUMMARY
The Research and Development Programming Technician is an important member of our Special Project team. By helping with the writing and maintaining of our PLC and other programing requirements as well as make detail drawings you will help keep our bakery operational. This position will require excellent self-motivation and organizational skills, to learn and maintain programs. Basic knowledge of IT will also be required, to help keep our systems operational and updated.
The Technician will report directly to the Special Project Manager whom will assign appropriate long term goals and objectives. The Technician will be involved in daily tasks, goals and project planning.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITES
· Design, build, troubleshoot and maintain PLC Programs
· Design and assist in Robotic systems and motion control logic
· Diverse in the Omron’s ACE and Sysmac Studio software
· Control IT function of Visual basic software (Wonderware, etc)
· Assist on general electrical task on projects (No hot work)
· Assist our IT consultant, trouble shoot daily issues
· Simple Mechanical Drawings (for fab shop programming purposes)
· Cataloging of drawing (using the three step system) to maintain revision levels
· Help with new hardware and software installation on projects
· Communicate with others and help in training team members
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate’s degree and/or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technical Application or 2 year experience in this field of work
· Exceptional skills in organization, prioritization and time management.

· Should be able to work well under stress to meet project deadlines.
