Assoc. Professor - Mechanical Engineering teaches courses in the discipline area of mechanical engineering. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being an Assoc. Professor - Mechanical Engineering provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Assoc. Professor - Mechanical Engineering typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and conducts research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Company Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician for our machinery manufacturing company, located near Wilder, Vermont.
Job Description
Responsible for working as part of a team on a variety of prototype projects (e.g., full pumps, turbocharger technology, gas turbine engine development). Complete hardware assembly and prototype testing. Fabricate and assemble development and production rigs and equipment. Calibrate and install instrumentation. Conduct routine acceptance and performance testing. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Must have at least five years’ experience working with prototyping, hardware fabrication and assembly with outstanding organization and communication skills. Experience with rotating equipment, electrical/hydraulics is a plus. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Mechanical engineering in technology degree or relevant technical degree or certification as an FAA certified airframe and power plant technician is required.
Highly competitive salary and benefits package. Local candidates are strongly preferred, however, some relocation assistance from within the Continental United States is available.
