Associate Dean of Humanities assists Dean with the management of administrative functions of the college of humanities. Collaborates with Dean on planning college strategic initiatives and supports on college fundraising. Being an Associate Dean of Humanities provides administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Typically requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Associate Dean of Humanities typically reports to a Dean. The Associate Dean of Humanities typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Holy Cross STEM School, a Catholic STEM elementary school, is seeking a dedicated and innovative humanities teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate has experience with planning, implementing, and assessing student-centered and project-based instruction based on standards that foster students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. In addition to teaching, the candidate should be willing to collaborate with colleagues to align instruction, analyze data, and create integrated cross-curricular learning experiences for students.
