The Culinary Director is instrumental in contributing to the experience of Story & Song as the place to meet by developing menus and programming that celebrates food, culture and community. The position reports to Donna Paz Kaufman, co-founder of Story & Song Bookstore Bistro and the Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture. Donna is also known for more than thirty years of training bookstore start-ups.

The role of Director assumes responsibility of managing all aspects of daily Bistro operations and contributing to Story & Song’s programming to develop a vibrant, successful, profitable business that evolves and grows.

A qualified candidate should have a love of food, books and people; have some food and beverage experience; devour cookbooks; and bring a desire to help co-create a positive work environment.

We will consider someone who brings all these passions yet has never managed a food operation. The right person will receive training, coaching and ongoing support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
