JOB SUMMARY:
The AP Administrator works directly for the Controller, providing data entry, general administrative and transactional supporting duties. This team member collaborates with others to adhere to STC purchasing and payment policies and execute essential functions in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Providing support to the accounting department by entering accounts payable invoices in ERP system (Visual)
· Performing weekly check run by pulling and sorting data for approval; upon approval, process payments by check and credit card
· Reconciles bank and credit card accounts continuously throughout the month
· Filing, scanning, mailing
· Accounting email account maintenance
· Able to cross train to support accounts receivable function
· Preparing and processing daily billing and accurately enter in Visual
· Entering daily cash receipts in Visual
· Provides effective and accurate communications to employees and vendors concerning accounts payable.
· Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
· Associate degree and/or three (3) years or more of related bookkeeping or administrative experience preferred
· Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
· Ability to follow work instructions and work independently
· Ability to work collaboratively and accept constructive feedback
· Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, while supporting the goal of a paperless environment
· Ability to work with several tasks simultaneously
· Can stay on task in a busy professional environment
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed at 600 Industrial Park Road in St. Albans.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work involves standing and walking for brief periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed materials and computer screens. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods and changing priorities may cause increased stress levels. Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboards at a moderate skill level. Repetitive motion injuries may occur. STC will provide adaptive devices as needed.
