Data Science Manager manages teams tasked with identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies found in big data sets and used to develop insights by performing extensive data analysis. Oversees the interpretation of results from multiple sources using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Being a Data Science Manager manages the design and implementation of big data solutions for the organization. Uses extensive knowledge and research into big data tools to guide data scientists' adoption and use of new and existing tools. Responsibilities:
• Actively prospect for life science accounts to develop new business opportunities
• Develop and execute account penetration plans to drive profitable growth for accounts within assigned geography
• Proactively build all aspects of the funnel, leveraging sales tools, to track and communicate progress
• Seek and build target customer relationships at all levels of the organization to deliver on growth targets
• Maintain strong understanding and be able to effectively communicate our solution offerings and value propositions to diverse decision-makers
• Gain strong command of customer needs and market opportunities to both position our solutions as well as provide input into the larger organization’s future roadmap
• Assemble and coordinate project / program development teams, as needed, to solve customer problems and win business
• Regular travel required to optimize face-time with key customer stakeholders. Up to 50%.
Work Arrangements: REMOTE within Geography (Boston, MA target)

• Uses sales process: Follows Trane’s standardized sales process to target, interview, propose, negotiate and close complex accounts. Regional Business Manager navigates sales process stages consistently with each account and maintains accurate information in the CRM system.
• Strong negotiation skills and business acumen: able to assert ideas and persuade end users, financial buyers, executive stakeholders in areas of price negotiations, contract terms, product configurations.
• Demonstrates flexibility in being open to change and new information; adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions or unexpected obstacles. Adjusts rapidly to new situations warranting attention and resolution.
• Bachelor's degree required. Engineering, technology, science, or business field preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of business development and solution sales experience required. Sales experience in cold storage, process equipment, or directly to large pharmaceutical customers in the Life Sciences market space preferred.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining high-level business relationships that produce results.
• Proven experience achieving high-level sales results including finding new opportunities and converting pipeline to bookings

Base Compensation Range is $150,000-$225,000 inclusive of base and incentive with uncapped potential.
