Being a Dean of Nursing leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Nursing requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires certification as a registered nurse. The Dean of Nursing manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. South College invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for the School of Nursing at the South College Dallas Campus. In collaboration with the Dean, the Associate Dean is responsible for the delivery of educational programs and services at the Indianapolis Campus. Responsibilities include collaboration and consultation with faculty to promote maximum commitment and results; maintaining high standards of teaching, scholarship, and service; maintaining programmatic accreditation; completing and administering budget allocations; recruiting, hiring, and evaluating faculty; organizing student advising procedures; organizing faculty teaching loads and quarterly class schedules; developing and maintaining collaborations with other colleges/programs for inter-professional educational opportunities; working with the School of Nursing in relation to planning and assessment; and representing the program in the community at large.
